We Handle the Permits

Most warehouse racking installations require building permits — and navigating local jurisdictions, fire marshal reviews, and structural engineering requirements can delay a project by weeks. Alloy manages the full permit acquisition process.

  • Jurisdiction research and permit requirement identification
  • Structural engineering documentation and stamped drawings
  • Building permit application preparation and submission
  • Fire marshal and plan review coordination
  • Seismic zone compliance for applicable regions
  • OSHA and ANSI/RMI compliance documentation
  • Final inspection scheduling and sign-off management
  • Post-installation compliance documentation package
Discuss Your Project

How a Project Unfolds

From first conversation to final sign-off — a structured, predictable process at every stage.

1

Discovery & Site Assessment

We visit your facility, assess existing conditions, review your operational requirements, and document the constraints that will shape the project design — building dimensions, floor slab, column grid, and dock configuration.

2

Facility Design & Product Specification

Our team produces a CAD layout of your proposed installation with racking type, aisle configuration, and bay counts. Product specifications, weight capacities, and code references are documented and reviewed with you before anything is ordered.

3

Permit Acquisition

We prepare and submit all permit documentation to the applicable jurisdiction — including structural engineering stamps, fire marshal packages, and seismic calculations. We track review status and respond to plan check comments.

4

Procurement & Scheduling

Once permits are approved and design is finalized, product is ordered and a detailed installation schedule is produced. We coordinate product lead times, site access windows, and crew sequencing to minimize disruption to your operations.

5

Installation & Site Supervision

Our installation crews are supervised throughout the project. Daily progress is tracked against the schedule, site safety protocols are enforced, and any field conditions that require design adjustments are managed immediately.

6

Final Inspection & Closeout

We coordinate the final inspection with the jurisdiction, manage punch list items, and deliver a complete closeout package — including as-built drawings, load placards, permit final approval, and warranty documentation.
